Frequently Asked Questions

Is Doc Hop a “real” doctor?

Yes. Dr. Hopkins is a graduate of the New York Theological Seminary, in partnership with the New Theological Seminary of the West, with a Doctor of Ministry degree conferred in the class of 2020. Previously, DocHop earned a BS in Communications from Ithaca College, with a focus on journalism, television & film production. He also holds a Master’s degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, where his curriculum included Greek & Hebrew language studies as well as comprehensive research methods. Communication has been both a gift and calling for DocHop.

Do I really need proofreading & editing services?

Yes! Everyone’s work should be reviewed and edited for content, grammar, punctuation, and general legibility and appearance. Come to Doc for a ‘second opinion’ and improve your client-facing materials.

Do my words really matter?

Yes. Your story, your experience and your journey have brought you to this point. They have made you who you are. While we are not alone in the world, we all certainly have a unique story to tell, which can guide the way for generations to come. Don’t sleep on YOUR story.

Where else have I seen DocHop?

Doc Hop has managed a multi-platform career before and behind the scenes for many years. His corporate career includes non-profit management, human resources and business development. In his community service he is an ordained pastor, youth mentor, activist and public speaker. His higher-education positions include teaching and graduate school recruitment. His entertainment and music career includes many credits for performance and production. Even with a jam-packed schedule, Doc Hop still makes time to support his students and clients, including (and especially) you!

When does DocHop Sleep?

After the last appointment, after the last document, after the last deadline has been met, DocHop finally takes his rest. Some documents require a period of rest before the final edit. Other materials are extremely time-sensitive, so we do our best to have a short turnaround time for our clients. Feel free to contact us at any time to ask about a unique project outside our listed services. Most likely DocHop will find - or create - a way to serve you.
